CPR

Included in HLTAID009, HLTAID011 & HLTAID012

Highly informative component of the course will provide candidates with the latest and greatest from the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) on the A to Z of the ancient art of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, so you can act with confidence should the occasion arise.

Please note that candidates must perform two minutes of continuous CPR on both infant and adult manikins - the latter of which the ARC insist be performed on the floor.

Medical Emergencies

Included in HLTAID011 & HLTAID012

Angina, heart attack, stroke, sudden cardiac arrest, diabetes, epilepsy, febrile convulsions, choking, anaphylaxis & asthma are all covered in detail to ensure that you as a First Aider are comfortable providing the appropriate, necessary and life saving assistance to the casualty.

Trauma

Included in HLTAID011 & HLTAID012

From broken bones to bleeding. Snake bites to bee stings. Dehydration to hypothermia. Crush syndrome to embedded objects and everything in-between, this section looks at a host of incidents. All of which you will be well versed in, enabling you to act with confidence in the community.

Child Care

Included in HLTAID012

As well as the above mentioned candidates will also learn more about the the Child Care Setting with information pertaining to Febrile Convulsions, Epiglottitis, Fever, Diarrhea, Croup, Meningococcal and a host of other issues relating to first aid when it comes to children.

 
 

As a nationally accredited course, candidates should consider the following.

USI

Unique Student Identifier (USI). Without a USI candidates cannot obtain a Statement of Attainment. To register for a USI, or be reminded of your existing USI, visit USI.gov.au

Proof of ID

Photographic identification must be sighted upon arrival.

Under 18

Parental consent forms are required for those under the age of 18.

Injured?

All candidates must be capable of performing two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor.

Arrival time

Candidates more than 15 minutes late, must reschedule.

Statements of Attainment

All Statements of Attainment will be provided to candidates upon full payment and successful completion of the practical and theoretical components of the course.
